Creative ad agency BETC Paris teamed up with McDonald's France for a surreal new advertising campaign that replaces human faces with an animated 3D emoji.
Featuring an upbeat cover of Buggles hit song 'Video Killed The Radio Star,' the French advertisement is titled 'Venez comme vous êtes,' or when translated to English reads as 'Come as you are."
Almost every emotional reaction, be it a wink, a smile, a grin or a grimace has been categorized into a 3D Emoji expression for the production's massive cast. Most of the commercial features people who are going about their day, only to pass by their local McDonald's. The end result is an interesting concept that strays off the beaten path of your typical fast food advert.
