The 2017 Porsche 960 is the definition of a supercharged sports car. The 960 is based on Porsche's new modular sport architecture. It will supposedly feature a boxer eight engine opposed to rumors of a flat six. The quad-turbocharged supercar will have a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and an all-wheel-drive system.
The vehicle is aiming for 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds. The 2017 Porsche 960 will have a 3.9L engine with 650 hp. Porsche is expecting to sell about 3000-4000 of this particular car in just six years, and production begins in 2017. The development of the new engine has reportedly been cleared by VW Group chief Ferdinand Piech.
This luxurious supercar will be on any car fanatic's radar until its official reveal. We'll just have to wait a little longer until the 2017 Porsche 960 is ready for a test drive.
