Apple released a new feature for its latest Apple Watch generation that brings a much-needed service to the smartwatch space. WatchOS 9 users can now benefit from Apple's Low Power Mode, which disables the always-on display, heartrate notifications, background health monitoring, and other background features that are not immediately required. Additionally, this mode can optionally disable all incoming communications services when the user's iPhone is out of reach. This will drastically extend the battery life of the watch in situations where longevity is required.
In the luxury analog watch space, Wilbur unveiled its latest flagship timepiece, the 'LEO JW1.' This is a clear, see-through watch with a movement that appears to be floating in the dial. Wilbur calls this a "suspended movement." Aside from the attractive movement, this watch features a sapphire glass lens, a 48.5mm titanium casing, and a protective casing around the crown. There are only 100 pieces manufactured of the LEO JW1.
