The humble french fry is universally adored for its deliciousness even if some look upon it with trepidation due to its status as the global brand ambassador for unhealthy junk food. A french fry a day may not keep the doctor at bay, but it's ok to indulge yourself every once in a while. Next time, rather than merely tossing some frozen fries in the oven or heading to your local junk food joint, consider putting together one of these more refined french fry-filled delicacies.
Being from Canada, when I think of fries I automatically think of poutine. While a basic poutine consists of fries, gravy and cheese curds, there are a gazillion ways you could take this uber-Canadian dish to the next level. Or if you're feeling even more adventurous, consider integrating the french fry into your breakfast.
