From Monochrome Perfume Ads to Rock Legend Scents

 - Nov 19, 2012
Celebrity perfume endorsements have taken over the cosmetic advertising world.

Before, most brand advertising featured professional models, but soon after celebrity fixation took over. Pairing a celebrity with a popular product is an instant way to become a sure success. Celebrities bring buzz, their persona and the limelight to each individual product. Their fans have a direct attachment to them and their work and thus, will likely buy the products they endorse.

Getting celebrity backing is a brilliant idea and celebrities themselves are capitalizing on their fame. They generate income for advocating a brand and by creating their own lines of fragrances as well. Celebrities such as Britney Spears have released several perfumes and continue to release newer versions to make maximum profit. While other famous movie stars like Brad Pitt for Chanel No.5 propel an already established product to new heights.

Celebrity perfume endorsements are beneficial for the brands and celebrities and as they continue to be released, people will keep changing their scent.
