Equality is a basic human right and it’s something that should be given without question to everyone in this world, but unfortunately that’s just not the case. The battle for marriage equality has been a long and hard battle fought by many LGBT people and their allies. At the peak of the Supreme court’s decision on marriage equality, these few examples of how the world is slowly and surely coming around on its thoughts about marriage equality are very important.
The support and acceptance for equality is rapidly seeping into the mind-sets of the most unlikely of places. From fantasy action-based video games to 1940s Americana comic books, it seems world is evolving into a place where a person’s sexual identity isn’t an issue any more. A person should be able to marry who they want and hopefully, that will be the case for everyone soon enough.
