In the context of funky furniture, the obsession with pods has very little to do with the Apple iPod, and a whole lot to do with the fascination with things that are round.
Spherical furniture, particularly seating, not only looks neat, but also serves functionally as a privacy orb, diving the seated from the surrounding area.
Some of the following pod chairs are purely intended to act as design masterpieces that double as seating, while others have integrated high tech functionality designed, for example, to optimize sleep or provide a chamber for an ideal music listening experience.
