Cozy Co-Working Spaces

Sella Concept Designed Cocoon-Like Co-Working Space in East London

There's a certain irony latent in Sella Concept's design for East London community workspace De Beauvoir Block. Co-working spaces are primarily used by freelance workers — people who can work wherever they please, choosing to leave their homes in favor of a space more amenable to focus. Yet Sella Concept strove to make De Beauvoir Block warm, cozy, and soft: in a word, homey.

To be sure, this isn't to say that the design is backward. Co-working spaces separate themselves from traditional offices thanks to their contemporary designs, which makes Sella Concept's work appropriate given the parameters of the project.

De Beavoir Block's interior features things like a light pink coating over the exposed brick walls, ample use of varnished wood, and large greenery wherever possible.
