Contrasting Workspace Interiors

Cake Architecture Played Around with Colors and Textures

London-based firm Cake Architecture emphasized the use of colors, materials, and textures to create two contrasting workspace interiors for London agency Ask Us For Ideas. The client aims to connect brands with creative studios to optimize efficiency and flow. Located in southeast London's New Cross, the two contrasting workspace interiors are split onto two floors—the basement and the ground level. Cake Architecture wanted to create a space that "feels somewhere between the home and the office," which has become a popular approach for office aesthetics in recent years.

The ground floor features a bright atmosphere and it doubles as an office and a white gallery to showcase Ask Us For Ideas' work. The basement workspace interior is equipped with darker walls and furnishings for a more mysterious, elegant, and private feel.
