Estúdio BRA Reconfigures the Copan Apartment in Brazil

Brazilian design firm Estúdio BRA has reconfigured the Copan apartment in the iconic building designed by Oscar Niemeyer in São Paulo. The residence has been organized in a way that invites as much natural light in as possible. This brings attention to the fine architectural accents of the building.

The focus was to integrate the living areas with the signature blend of concrete and glass of the home, expanding the views. The founders of the studio, André di Gregorio and Rodrigo Maçonilio. explain the design process, "We designed the layout to highlight the view from the 19th floor, where, between the concrete brises, you can't see cars or sidewalks — just the sky, buildings from different eras, and the Cantareira Mountain range."
