In the fight against plastic waste, retailers are installing in-store refill stations for a variety of products, where possible. While grocery stores often have bulk sections for items like nuts and coffee beans, these same dispensing mechanisms are now being applied to a wider range of consumer products, including pet food, as seen in select PetCo care centers.

Consumers are looking to reduce their household waste where possible by investing in kits and bottles that can be replenished, and in-store stations are being set up for beauty and body care items. These low- to no-waste initiatives are reshaping the way consumers purchase and replenish shower gel, perfume, soda and other liquids, plus plenty of dry pantry staples.
