Recycled Rubbish Sneakers

Your Shoes are Rubbish Turns Ocean Trash into Sleek New Shoes

As our oceans continue overflow with tons of unnecessary plastic garbage, the Your Shoes are Rubbish organization hopes to turn some of that trash into wearable fashion.

Creative geniuses Billy Turvey, William Gubbins and Charles Duffy have come together to form Your Shoes are Rubbish in hopes of playing a part in keeping our oceans trash-free. Your Shoes are Rubbish believe that many, if not all, consumer goods are made with one sole purpose and temporary use. To subvert this ideology, Your Shoes are Rubbish transforms pieces of oceanic trash collected along the banks of the Thames into technicolor sneakers. The various colors of plastic collected give the shoes an interesting multicolor tie-dye color scheme. Your Shoes are Rubbish also wants to make ripples with giant clothing brands in the hopes that they too will rethink their manufacturing process.
