Vote-Encouraging Sportswear Ads

Nike's You Can't Stop Our Voice Ad Encourages Voter Participation

Sportswear giant Nike recently joined forces with rideshare company Lyft to support early voting participation and launched a vote-encouraging ad that celebrates the power of voices. The ad reminds viewers that "sport gives you a platform to express yourself, and athletes like LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, Odell Beckham Jr., Sue Bird, Ja Morant, A’Ja Wilson, and Tim Anderson lead by example, but you don’t have to be a star to have a voice" and that "you can start right now."

In addition to reminding consumers to use their voice to make a difference wtihin their community, the campaign gave voters access to discounted Lyft rides. Nike specifically zoned in on "communities who have historically had a harder time getting to the polls" and also made a pledge to support voters living in the vicinity of its own headquarters.
