Equinom, an Israeli plant-based nutrition company, will be partnering with Meatless Farm and its ingredients subsidiary, Lovingly Made Ingredients to create yellow pea protein. The new partnership will deliver up to 50% more protein in the grain, helping to reduce Lovingly Made Ingredients’ carbon footprint. This is especially noteworthy as yellow pea is one of the fastest-growing sources of protein in the plant-based market with an expected global worth of $140 billion by 2029.
In addition, the brand announced plans to l release its first limited edition pea concentrate to selected leading food manufacturers in an effort to make the alternative meat industry healthier, cleaner, and more valuable.
