Moebe's Storage Furniture Design Requires No Tools for Assembly

Copenhagen-based design firm Moebe launched a minimalist wooden shelving system that ensures a fuss-free assembly. The piece is contemporary and boasts an "intelligent and simple" framework. The storage furniture is held together through sets of wooden wedges that can be slotted into "precisely angled holes in timber slabs." Moebe employed oiled oak and black stained ash wood for its wooden shelving system. Refraining from the use of glue and secondary tools, the design firm was able to create a product that subscribes to simple construction techniques, which somehow adds to the overall minimalist vibe of the piece itself.

Moebe's constructionally clever design allows for consumers to customize their wooden shelving system, based on functionality, practicality or aesthetic. The minimalist framework of the furniture gives it a refined and sophisticated look.
