Simple Assembly Sustainable Shelves

Carlos Platz Designs the Svolta Shelving with No Tools Needed

Designer Carlos Platz introduces the new Svolta shelf design which is wooden and sustainable with a simplistic assembly process. It is a flat-packed design that is sustainable from the beginning to the end from creation, assembly, transportation, and more. The minimal wooden shelf is a single material that is held without the use of glue, plastic, or screws.

The inspiration behind the design is drawn from the simplicity of alpine joinery and architecture. There are no complications that come from extra parts or materials that are required to bring the design together. It relies only on its own shape and physicality to keep every part in its rightful place. The name of the shelf translates to rotation in Italian and has special cutouts that showcase where the legs are meant to go.
