Liza van Rees's digitally illustrated women portraits are all very serene piece that have an outer space feel to them.

The artist includes a lot of cosmic elements in her compositions such as the moon and the milkyway backgrounds. Her subjects are all distant and absorbed in things unknown by the viewer, which creates a sweet mystery. Although they lack a direct personal connection with the viewer, they instill a calm attitude and an ambiance to their environments.

The girls portrayed in the illustrations are not anyone that you know. They are beautiful figures from worlds unknown. They are intriguing because of their cool alien nature. Uninterested in the things you may have to say, they are at your presence for mere observance, igniting curiosity while putting on a show that is purely and viciously visual.
