Fashionable Nature Photos

These photos, captured by Austin, Texas-based photographer Tracy Morford, capture fashionably dressed women depicted in nature-heavy settings. Morford grew up in a highly wooded area, something that gave her a long-held and profound connection with the natural world. It is this connection that is captured in the photos, which show women prancing through pastures, bathing in waterfalls and posing on top of tree branches.

Many of the shoots required Morford herself to take on a number of roles from stylist to art director. As for the models, Morford makes the interesting admission that many of the models effectively function as surrogates of herself, and that she prefers models who resemble her. However, while this 'women in nature' identify with the photographer, they are adept at conforming to viewers' unique perceptions.
