This water tower design by White Arkitekter is exceptionally interesting. Breaking the conventional approach for its building category, the VÅGA reservoir is dynamic, wavy and spreads horizontally. The intent behind the irregular shape is to evoke a sense of "waves rolling accross the landscape."

The water tower design includes two tanks for storage and a total of nine slender concrete columns. Its innovative horizontal representation is suggested to be "better suited to its function." White Arkitekter build on a contemporary and minimalist aesthetic to truly elevate the design of an otherwise mundane building. The strong uniform quality of the structure definitely complements its setting in the most noninvasive way.

All in all, the VÅGA completely redefines the architectural appearance and quality of water tower designs.
