Twisted Concrete Tower Structures

Harmonic + Masson Adds a Twisted Shape to the Alta Tower

Local design studio Hamonic + Masson & Associés forms a reinforced concrete framing in a unique structure at the Alta Tower located in Le Havre. It is built in a twisted formation, creating a bold visual of Northern France. The Alta Tower is a residential building and stands 55 meters tall, making it the third tallest building in the city's center.

The studio founder Jean-Christophe Masson speaks to Dezeen about the design project, noting "The port of Le Havre is the horizon. It is the sea and the sky that come together. Alta presents a new high point in the city and so it had to convey this dynamism." The studio continues, explaining that the Alta Tower is meant to make a "bold and expressive statement."
