Twitch is currently testing a new feature named Watch Parties, and it will allow streamers on the platform to view Prime Video alongside their subscribers. With the new feature, users will receive an invite email to join a Watch Party, after joining users can watch Prime Video and chat with other users and streamers.
Currently, Watch Parties are able to select from a number of different titles, including ‘Jack Ryan,’ ‘Mission Impossible,’ and more. Amazon stated that it will be adding more content for users to choose from in the future.
With the new feature, users can watch shows in a much more socially oriented way. Watch Parties can help Twitch, as it is a new way for users to interact on the platform. Additionally, the feature can also help Amazon, as it will be the company providing the streaming content.
