Tamaruya's 'Wasa Beads' Add Heat and Texture to a Variety of Meals

Tamaruya is a Japanese company that offers a range of wasabi-based products and it is adding to its lineup with an innovative new addition dubbed 'Wasa Beads.' The bright green Wasa Beads resemble caviar and have the potential to add color, texture and taste to a variety of dishes.

The unique new wasabi product is prepared with fresh wasabi from Shizuoka, which retains the same heat and flavor of the plant yet offers a smooth texture and an eating experience that compares to luxurious caviar. In the same way that fish eggs are often used to top off rolls of sushi, the newly launched product has been featured on top of sushi, bite-sized appetizers and other finger foods as a popular serving suggestion.
