For many young children, the first day of school can be incredibly nerve-racking, which is why this Walmart ad that promotes confidence by likening children to superheroes was created.
The short ad starts with the silhouette of Batman, who loads up his belt with school supplies instead of weapons before he runs out the door. Next, a girl changes into Wonder Woman as she throws on her backpack and leaves. Also highlighted in the Walmart ad are the Power Rangers, the Transformers, and Superman.
In order to show that all children are capable of being superheroes in their own lives, some of the ad's final shots show them in graphic tees that simply feature the symbols of the powerful icons.
