Walmart Canada Has Been Earning More in Profits Since It Lowered Prices

So far this year, Walmart Canada's sales are rising as the company lowered its food prices in order to attract more customers.

With other branded grocers to compete with, the Walmart brand wanted to ensure it was able to stand out among its competition when it came to selling food products. Since lowering the costs of its food, the brand has seen a "net sales increase of 3.4 percent, and same-store sales growth of 2.5 percent." These sales have made Walmart Canada one of the company's "strongest performing divisions."

Understanding its market and competitors, Walmart Canada was able to figure out an effective way to ensure its consumers consider shopping at the large retailer for their food products.
