Outsourced Wake-Up Apps

Wakie is an Alarm Clock App Where a Stranger Will Call to Wake You Up

Waking up to the sounds of a shrill alarm clock probably isn'y anybody's idea of a good time, but this is where the Wakie app steps in to make getting out of bed first thing in the morning more enjoyable.

The Wakie app is a different kind of alarm clock—rather than hearing music or an annoying beeping sound, Wakie connects you to another human being, so that another member of the Wakie community will provide your wake-up call. Each call only lasts a minute and after this period of time, the call is automatically disconnected, to keep things efficient. With the app, there's no exchanging of phone numbers, so that calls are secure and anonymous. Currently, Wake is only available through the Windows Store and Google Play, although there are plans for it to come to iTunes soon.
