This vortex book art is made all the more amazing because there's no Photoshop involved. Using only some chopsticks and a really thick book, Deviantartist schaduwlichtje created a vortex that literally sucks you into a good book.

It turns out books aren't just used for taking people off into a new world, they can also be used as stand-up sculptural pieces. This isn't schaduwlichtje's first foray into the book art world and will most likely not be her last, but this particular one is special because of its illusional look.

The book was completely folded using chopsticks, adding to the intricacy of the project, as it wouldn't work if each page wasn't folded completely right.
