Sustainable Bottled Water Pledges

Danone’s Volvic Brand is Now Carbon Neutral

Volvic, a Danone bottled water brand, announced that it is now carbon neutral in April of 2020. In addition to becoming B Corp-certified and cutting down its carbon emissions, Volvic is pushing its long-term sustainable efforts forward with new packaging.

The European mineral water brand "has committed to using 100% recycled plastic for bottles as much as possible, and hopes to produce all Volvic bottles using 100% recycled PET by the end of 2025, knowing it saves up to 50% of carbon emissions versus a virgin plastic bottle."

With plastic pollution at an all time high, bottled water brands are rethinking their business practices and are launching long term sustainable initiatives in order to reduce their own impact on the environment -- something that eco-conscious consumers seeking convenience and quality can align with.
