German car manufacturer BMW once again defines luxury and the edges of cutting edge technology with its recently unveiled Vision Future Luxury.
The new saloon concept car features BMW’s Vision Head Up Display, which is an augmented display technology that helps you see things via real-time information like speed limits and road signs. The Vision Future Luxury projects this info on a windscreen in the driver’s line of sight. Other advantages to the BMW concept are its exterior sensors collecting info of environmental data, organic and efficient light-emitting diodes and a shiny layer of carbon compound which gives off light when connected to an electrical current.
“Innovative technology and modern luxury have always been an important part of BMW’s brand DNA,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design. “Connectivity in a luxury vehicle has to be seamless and so well integrated that it doesn’t deter from the driving that you want to do, it actually enhances it.”
