Silicon Valley startup Vision Buddy has introduced its new headset, also titled 'Vision Buddy,' aiming to assist the visually impaired. The product is particularly unique because it comes equipped with an integrated television watching system, providing those with low vision a unique method for enjoying their favorite movies and shows.
To activate the headset's TV mode, users must connect the unit directly to a TV set. Once connected, the television stream is projected inside the headset. Vision Buddy's proprietary algorithms automatically enhance the image quality and colors according to the user's needs.
In addition, the innovative headset comes equipped with a digital magnifier that can be switched on when undergoing tasks that require reading small print, such as operating a microwave or reading medicine labels.
