In 2017, Nike created the Pro Hijab for female Muslim athletes and now the brand is introducing the Victory Swim Collection as a range of full-coverage styles that have the potential to serve those with specific religious, cultural or sun protection needs. The modest swimwear collection includes one full-coverage swimsuit, a hijab, a tunic top and leggings that will be available for purchase in early 2020.
These new styles for female athletes help to address that there has been a lack of high-performance, modest options—as Nike describes, "Too often, athletes said, swimwear presented a barrier, rather than a conduit, to enjoying the water."
The innovative swimwear collection features lightweight, fast-drying and breathable warp-knit fabric rated UPF 40+.
