Okinawa House is a contemporary vacation house that is located in the heart of the gorgeous Japanese island. Embracing minimalist design ideals, John Pawson Architects' Taishi Kanemura designs the modern residence which boasts an all-white facade and matching interior.

Rejecting ornamentation, the designer opts for clean walls that are matched with light wood finishes and furniture pieces that promote subtlety. In addition to its understated dining room sets and living room furnishings, this home also includes simple built-ins that are designed with functionality in mind.

Overlooking a striking ocean view, this modern vacation home is the epitome of simple sophistication and boasts local materials like Japanese plasters both inside and on its exterior facade. The open concept home measures 400 square meters in size and boasts window panels that bathe its interior with plenty of natural light.
