This Unique Wine Tasting Takes Vino Lovers on a Wintry Trip

This unique wine tasting hosted by the Georgian Hills Vineyards takes the form of a self-guided showshoeing adventure through wine country in the winter. Depending on how much of a trek you're up for, the Canadian vineyard has mapped out three routes of different lengths, including trails of 0.5 km, 1 km and 2 km.

In between snowshoeing, participants can expect to warm up by fireplaces while sampling local wines and artisanal cheeses. The self-guided tour is a fantastic way to take a trip at your own pace, while enjoying treats along the way. The tours operate during the winter as long as the winery is open. Although the wine and refreshments will be supplied at each of the local wineries, it's best to bring your own snowshoes since supplies are limited.
