The UE Boom 2 is the latest version of the Ultimate Ears Bluetooth speaker. Widely considered to be one of the best smartphone-connected speakers available, the original UE Boom boasted a wide wireless range, superior sound quality and high durability.
The new UE Boom 2 doubles the wireless range of the UE Boom, and increases its volume capacity by 25 percent. It is also waterproof and dust-proof, unlike the first iteration of the cylindrical speaker. Another improvement sees the UE Boom 2 outfitted with a tighter weave of mesh fabric on the speaker. According to Ultimate Ears, this will allow its design collaborators to more easily create unique patterns and graphics to decorate the UE Boom 2.
As if all this wasn't enough incentive to want a new UE Boom 2, the second iteration of the popular gadget is being offered for exactly the same price as its predecessor.
