Eco-Conscious Tube-Like Pouches

Kao USA Designs a Packaging Solution for John Frieda Hair Care

A tube-like pouch is created by Kao USA for John Frieda Hair Care and the design—which is considered to be "a first in the mass premium beauty industry"—helps the brand to reduce plastic use by 50%. The sustainability aspect is important to note here as the purchasing decisions of conscious consumers are increasingly directed by eco-conscious brand practices.

The tube-like pouch is also incredibly flexible and it "allows every last drop of product to be squeezed out" which also contributes to user experience. The John Frieda Hair Care products that take advantage of this subtle innovation are the Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as the Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Shampoo and Conditioner. Both are available in select 200 Walmart stores for a limited time.
