Enhanced In-Vehicle Infotainment Systems

Toyota Audio Multimedia Boasts 5G Connectivity

Toyota has announced a significant update to its in-vehicle infotainment system — the Toyota Audio Multimedia. This update will first appear in the 2026 RAV4 model.

The upgraded Toyota Audio Multimedia system incorporates 5G connectivity through a partnership with AT&T and features a more responsive interface with a customizable home screen that uses a widget-based layout. A key improvement is an enhanced voice assistant that processes commands directly on the device for faster response times. Other new functionality includes the integration of turn-by-turn navigation into the digital gauge cluster and a standard built-in drive recorder that utilizes the vehicle's external cameras. The system also introduces a dedicated section for managing charging and range for plug-in hybrid models and offers expanded entertainment options, including integrated streaming for services like Spotify.
