Cheesy Plum Chips

The Frito-Lay Plum & Cheese Tortilla Chips are Full of Interesting Flavor

Frito-Lay explores new wacky flavor combinations in Japan with the release of its plum and cheese tortilla chips. Made with Ume plums, these sweet and savory chips are full of unexpected flavor and are unlike anything else currently on the market.

These unique plum and cheese chips are covered in a spice blend made from the Ume plums and cream cheese. The combination of the plum and cream cheese might remind one of a fruit-based cheesecake. Thanks to the infused plum, these chips have a rosy purple color tone. Rather than dipping these tortilla chips in guacamole or salsa, perhaps a sweet jam puree or vanilla icing would taste better.

These chips are available exclusively to Japan starting in January 2015 till the end of April.
