'TimeMachine' Lets Instagram Users Recycle Content for Stories

Instagram Stories typically only let users add content that they've created within the past 24 hours, but with TimeMachine, that limitation is no longer an issue. The iOS app lets people reuse any of their old Instagram pictures in their Stories, letting people add some throwback Thursday flair into any of their posts.

TimeMachine enables old photos by essentially taking screenshots and fooling Instagram into thinking they're new picture taken recently. It does this while perfectly preserving resolution and quality, so users need not be concerned about the old pictures getting posting in wonky formats or layouts.

Considering the importance of regular posting in building a social media following, TimeMachine helps people to stay active even when they might be in a rut or at a loss to find any new content at the moment.
