The Zen Den is located in Los Angeles, California, in the Woodland Hills suburban community. The single-story, four-bedroom home is the residence of Carlos Naude and Whitney Brown. The pair is the couple behind Working Holiday Studio and its sister design practice, Working Holiday Spaces.
Located only 20 minutes by car from the beach, the Zen Den's contemporary design reflects the lessons learned during the pandemic about relaxation. Naude and Brown renovated the 1960s ranch-style house to include skylights in the kitchen to amplify the amount of natural light that flows into the space.
