Cleon Peterson works together with Avant Arte on The Return sculptures, which feature two bronze artwork that is inspired by humankind and the primal past of mankind. The American artist creates a primal horseback rider using a sleek blackened bronze material.
Peterson has talked about humankind's complicated history that ties together from power and corruption, stating that “Images and ideas like this act as a romantic fantasy promising to return people to an idealized past. In my work, I highlight these connections – showing how destructive they can be.” There are two sizes available of The Return as the first iteration sizes at 11.8×13.8×4.3-inches and the larger iteration has ten in total and sizes in 20.9×25.6×8.3-inches
