Modern Multi-Use City Buildings

The Hangar is a Symbolic Living Room for Kenmore Washington

Washington-based Graham Baba Architects recently completed The Hangar, a structure in the center of Kenmore, Washington. The 4,600 square foot building provides a year-round focal point for the city, acting as a symbolic living room for everyone to enjoy.

The pavilion is designed to morph depending on the weather conditions, as well as change for specific functional requirements. The simple and large space provides protection from the sun and rain, a quiet and comfortable seating area and enables parents easy access to their children playing in the plaza. At night, the exterior glazing transforms the structure into a beautiful lantern.

Offering an accessible, multi-use space for enjoying public gatherings, dance classes, music performances, movies and more -- The Hanger is a modern space for all.
