Song Reversal Parodies

The Gregory Brothers Change Happy Songs to Terribly Sad Versions

The Gregory Brothers create a parody to Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ in a way that may not make you so happy. The Gregory Brothers discovered how different the tune to Pharrell’s hit song could be by performing it in minor keys. They did the opposite for sad songs and a great cover that no one was expecting was created.

The Gregory Brothers have revamped songs from Katy Perry, John Legend, Aerosmith and even Imagine Dragons. The brothers spent six weeks testing out their new format on Vine and Facebook to see the reactions. They then compiled the arrangements into one emotional YouTube video. The new format gives the song a completely new feeling that is not as “happy” as Pharrell makes it sound.
