Humorously Surreal Household Objects

The Delirious Home Exhibit Explores Growth of Smart Products

It is interesting to keep tabs on the growth of the smart technology industry and how it is affecting people's home life; The Delirious Home design exhibit explores this new shift in daily living with a collection of surreal furniture and objects that focus more on humor that streamlining people's lives in more efficient and convenient ways.

Created by a group of French industrial and interactive design students from Lausanne's ECAL school, The Delirious Home exhibit recently opened during Milan Design Week. The students write, "Technology has become smart but without a sense of humor, let alone quirky unexpected behavior." So they introduced such behaviour in the form of a spoon chasing a teacup, soft cacti that giggle when touched and more.
