While Brooklyn-based eatery 'The Bedford,' is already known for its next-level takes on pub cuisine, the restaurant is really leaning into its reputation with its new Mac and Cheese Burger.
The Mac and Cheese Burger is an outrageous new dish that is best described as 'peak comfort food.' Instead of buns, the burger boasts two fried mac and cheese morsels that surround a hefty grass-fed beef burger patty. To create the noodle-based buns, The Bedford chefs start with a four cheese Bechamel sauce and infuses seasonings such as garlic and onion powder, oregano, salt, pepper, and chili powder. The chefs then combine Swiss, cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses with macaroni noodles. Each 'bun' is then doused in a breadcrumb coating and deep fried until crisp and golden brown.
