The Apple HomePod will be receiving a number of different functions beginning in the fall. Some of the features that will come to the Apple HomePod include multi-user support, live radio, and an ambient sound mode. Apple highlighted some of the new capabilities at a company event that took place in June of 2019.
Multi-user support will likely come after the iOS 13 release, and it will allow up to six different people to use a single unit. The live radio capabilities will arrive before October and it will have support for iHeartRadio, as well as over 100,000 stations. With the features of the ambient sound, users will be able to select from either ocean waves, forest birds, rainstorms, as well as other options.
