Google's Allo platform is a predictive text response service that utilizes artificial intelligence to craft messaging replies. The service utilizes an automated Google assistant to replicate conversation. The assistant is able to read through and analyze conversation and provide a suitable response by matching the text with potential replies crafted in a database.
The platform aims to simplify texting, by allowing consumers to have a virtual assistant that answers their messages for them -- if they so choose. The platform can also be used for actionable direction. Allo is able to identify when a question is being asked, and source out a potential answer. For example if the text pertains to setting up dinner reservations, Allo can schedule the meal at the location.
