Terracotta Breath House is a residential project designed by Live Out Studio and located in a dense laneway in Da Nang, Vietnam. The house is composed for multigenerational living and organises two dwelling units connected by a planted internal courtyard that brings light and air into the narrow site.
The façades are clad in terracotta brickwork arranged in a perforated pattern that filters sunlight, facilitates cross-ventilation, and casts shifting light and shadow into the interior spaces. Interiors are arranged around the central courtyard and voids that allow airflow and greenery to penetrate deep into the plan. The material palette emphasises earthy terracotta, raw concrete, and warm wood finishes that respond to the tropical climate and local context.
