The 'Trickle' tea dripper has been fashioned with a distinct focus on tradition to enable a tech-free method of preparing a cup of tea using your favorite leaves. The unit was created to provide employment to the Chundharey craft community in Sikkim, India and is crafted from dhar wood that has been locally sourced, naturally treated and prepared by hand. Lathe machines are used to shape the wooden design, while drawing necessary power from a nearby mountain river.

The 'Trickle' tea dripper is the design work of Kalyani Tupkary and Echostream for La, while the unit will be placed on showcase at the London Design Fair to highlight the simple complexity. The 'Trickle' speaks to a growing demand for products that are crafted by hand, from natural materials and that won't harm the environment.
