Paint-Splattered Rugs

Tai Ping Carpets Showcases Abstract Visuals and Free-Flowing Paint

Tai Ping Carpets is a collection of five brands that create unique and vibrant rugs for both art exhibitions and commercial use. Its recent 'Chroma Collection' celebrated artistic freedom and creative exploration.

Through eccentric painting methods that involve free and controlled coloring, the rugs are made to look like abstract art. The paint techniques also make the rugs look like canvases that have been splattered and smeared with paint. They are appropriate enough to display as a tapestry or on the floor.

Yasmina Benazzou, the Global Design Director of Tai Ping, said she “wanted [this collection] to reconnect with the spontaneity and authenticity of handmade design, exploring the aesthetic of abstract painting without the influence of technology.”
