The Falling Brick Coffee Table furniture piece is designed after the aesthetic of Minecraft, which sees cubes being used as a means of building world, objects and characters in a video game world. Designed by Kyle Toth, the founder of the Wood by Toth brand, the Falling Brick Coffee Table features one corner of the table seemingly shifting downward with a cubic aesthetic.
Video game culture has permeated the real world in a number of different ways ranging from augmented reality games like Pokemon go, to fashion collections inspired by franchises. The Falling Brick Coffee Table furniture design identifies how video game inspiration is expanding in new, mature ways to implement it into our daily lives in ways that are subtle.
