When Mercedes Arce looked at most of the sugar packaging designs on the market, she was uninspired by what she saw. Most of the looks were quite boring and not that functional, so she set out to up the average standard of this branding with her work for Sucra.
The packaging is based on how sugar actually looks when placed under the microscope. Arce took this inspiration and created a box resembling these crystals when observed in extreme detail. The designers sugar packaging looks completely different than all others on the market, offering a functional holder for the contents. Hopefully this means other sugar brands will follow suit and update their packaging designs to hook consumers.
